Security & access
A gate that can be audited, and a guard who is not guessing
Access control is usually the first thing an estate wants to fix and the easiest to get wrong. The design constraint here is a guard with a phone, at night, with a car waiting.
Access
What the access layer covers
Every visit becomes a record: who was expected, who authorized it, when they arrived and when they left.
Visitor invitations
A resident registers an expected guest before they arrive, with the window the visit is valid for.
Single-use codes and QR
Each invitation issues a code that expires on its own. No standing access, no shared estate password.
Gate verification
Security confirms a code against the expected visit in a few seconds, which is the only speed that matters at a gate.
Entry and exit logs
Check-in and check-out are recorded against the unit, giving the estate an access trail instead of a signature in a book.
Incident reporting
Security incidents are recorded with location and evidence, and follow the same status discipline as maintenance faults.
Minimum exposure
Gate personnel see what they need to verify a visit. Resident financial and personal data is not part of that job.
Principle
Security staff should see less, not more
A gate client that shows a guard the estate's resident directory, balances and personal details is a liability, not a feature. The security surface is deliberately narrow.
Visible to gate personnel
- That a visit is expected and currently valid
- The visitor name on the invitation
- The destination unit or block
- Whether the pass has already been used
- The check-in and check-out action for this visit
Never exposed at the gate
- Resident balances, invoices or payment status
- The full estate resident directory
- Tenancy documents and identity records
- Anything from a resident's history at another estate
- Contact details beyond what the visit requires
Incidents
Incidents and faults are tracked, not narrated
A security incident, a failed barrier or a dead street light all become records with a location, an owner and a status. The estate ends up with a history it can act on instead of a chat log nobody can search.

We will walk through visitor access end to end, from a resident's invitation to the entry log your board sees.
